Key duty

If your team is rostered on court 1 then your team is on key duty. The court roster is found on each competition page.

Please arrive by no later than 6.50pm to ensure you have enough time to do the pre-game key duties.

The season issued Competition Code* must be entered into either of the entry key pads by 6.50pm so that the lights will turn on during game play when the natural light drops.

Lights may be on from coaching but you still need to enter the code into the keypads by 6:50pm, otherwise all lights will go out at 7:15.

You must enter the Competition Code in either of the 2 entry gates to the club, even if entry gate is open.

The code will note work if entered before 6.45pm. 

Using the key* please unlock the padlocked gates into courts 9 & 10 to ensure everyone is able to move freely throughout the night.

The same key as the padlock will open the doors into clubrooms. Please open them up especially for those competitions that are partaking in supper. Turn off the Clubhouse Alarm by entering the code. Once opened, please ensure the lights are on and the kitchen and change rooms are clean and suitable for use. The heaters may be turned on if required for colder nights.

Play your games and wait at the club until your team's and all other games on all courts are complete.

If the lighting for a court fail you will need to manually activate it:

• Inside clubhouse, open the side green door in the foyer with same green key.
• Use small silver key to turn the knob for the court from ‘Auto’ to ‘Manual’. This will override auto and switch light on manually

At end of night you must turn all court lightsback to ‘Auto’ otherwise the lights will remain on.

Once the courts are vacated, please lock all padlocked gates with the club key. Note that the lights will turn off automatically.

Ensure the clubrooms are empty. Clear and clean the kitchen and hall. Ensure all the bins are emptied into the council bins outside.

Check the clubroom doors and all the padlocks are locked and then return the key and secure it.

Before leaving for the night, please ensure both external gates are shut.
