Tennis Victoria Pennant competition is played on Saturday afternoons until completion of sets.

Format of matches

Odd numbered rounds (Rounds 1, 3, 5 etc.): Two first to 8 doubles (tiebreak at 8-8) Four best of two tiebreak set singles (match tiebreak at one set all) Even numbered rounds (Rounds 2, 4, 6 etc.). Two best of 2 tiebreak set doubles (match tiebreak at one set all) Four first to 8 singles (tiebreak at 8-8). No advantage scoring will be used for all doubles rubbers,

Pennant facilitates a high-level competition in a team environment. It’s competitive singles and doubles matches for grassroots, aspirational and elite players and is the largest inter-club team tennis league in Australia.

We have 2 mens teams that participate in Pennant.

Matches are played alternating at home and at clubs all across Metro Melbourne. The pennant season commences at the end of April and runs until the end of August. Teams are entered at the beginning of March.

You are required to have a Competitive Player Profile (CCP) to play in this competition. If you do not have one and are an active player, please see this page to create one.
