West Brunswick Tennis Club is proud to compete in many competitions across different tennis associations. We have many teams representing us in ladies, juniors, mens and mixed competitions. Information is found below for all the competitions we're in.
Northern Suburbs Night Tennis Association
Men’s, Women’s and Mixed teams compete in the North Suburban Night Tennis Association (NSNTA) competitions during Autumn and Spring. The Association encompasses the northern region and includes suburbs as Parkville, Essendon, Gladstone Park, Sunbury and Taylors Lakes.
Teams are arranged based on tennis standard, friendship/family groups where requested and appropriate, and ensuring each team has enough players.
The NSNTA ladies teams compete on Tuesday evenings. The NSNTA mixed teams compete on Wednesday evenings. The NSNTA mens teams compete on Thursday evenings.

Northern Suburbs Junior Tennis Association
Our juniors (under 18 years) compete on Friday nights and Saturday mornings in the North Suburban Junior Tennis Association (NSJTA) competition during Autumn (late January to mid-June) and Spring (July to November).

Tennis ID Number
It is a requirement of the NSJTA that all new and existing junior players have a Tennis Australia ID number.
To do this follow these steps:
- Go to matchcentre.tennis.com.au
- Create an account with Tennis by selecting ‘REGISTER’ at the login screen
- Select ‘REGISTER HERE’ at the bottom of the following screen (For players under 15 years of age, a family email address may be used as required)
- Complete the form and select ‘NEXT’, followed by ‘CREATE ACCOUNT‘
- Once the account has been created, a verification email will be sent to the email address you supplied.
Northern Suburbs Ladies Tennis Association
Two seasons per year, the first run over terms 1 & 2 of the school year and the second run over terms 3 & 4. Competition commences at 10am and concludes between 1 and 2pm. Each player plays four sets. Children are welcome with one player free to supervise at all times. Games are held alternatively at home or away venues. The home team provides afternoon tea for all players to enjoy.

Tennis Victoria Pennant
We have a mens teams that participates in pennant. Matches are played alternating at home and at clubs all across Metro Melbourne. The pennant season commences at the end of April and runs until the end of August. Teams are entered at the beginning of March. Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) is the primary grading tool.
The format is two doubles rubbers, played as eight-game sets, and then four singles rubbers, played in a “best of two-set” format with a ten-point match tiebreaker instead of a full third set. Up to six players can play in a match.
Northern Suburbs Tennis Association
We have a mens teams that participates in NSTA. Matches are played alternating at home and at clubs all across the north western suburbs of Melbourne. There are Autumn (Feb to May) and Spring (Aug to Nov) seasons. The format is singles and doubles.
Sunday social tennis
Each Sunday we run a free social hit at the club, which is open to both members and non-members*.
Social starts at 9:30 and runs until 12:30. We rotate sets of doubles across 4 courts to ensure everyone gets a chance to have a hit.

*Non-members have a limit of 4 sessions. We welcome you to trial the club and meet other players to decide if our club is a good fit for you.
