Cancellation of matches is determined by the WBTC club assigned competition co-ordinators. Whether to play or not is determined by weather forecasts and court conditions. The decision can be made as late as the start time on the night/day of play. It is important to assume you're playing until you hear otherwise.
Guided by the Tennis Australia Extreme Weather Policy.

- (b) all sets for matches which are yet to commence.
When the WBGT reading exceeds 32.5 degrees or the ambient air temperature exceeds 38.0 degrees

The WBGT can be viewed on the BOM site here. WBTC closest station is Essendon Airport.
Teams can consider delaying the start of matches or taking longer breaks between sets to assist with managing hot conditions.
Unless agreed otherwise before play commences by the two WBTC team captains, the following rule should be followed when sharing a court:
The two opposing teams that are ready first to commence two matches with all eight players present and on court will use the shared court for their first four matches/sets. Once their first four matches/sets are complete, they are to use a single court for the remainder of the night releasing the shared court to the other two teams.

If courts are not fully occupied, ask if you can join in. Some Sundays you may play four games and swap, other Sundays you may play six games before swapping. There is an expectation that you will play with a variation of players.
